Being outdoors brings a smile

A journey to share

The intention of this blog is to share moments on this journey to fellow seekers & explorers of the harmony and fullness of life’s experience.

After practicing yoga for many, many moons, Andrea Evans (E-YRT 500) began her teaching journey in 2014 with an unforgettable 200 hours of training with Jacqui Bonwell. She later added 300 hours of training with the one & only David Vendetti.

Andrea's diverse classes and workshops are designed for self-discovery and exploration. Her teaching intention is to hold safe space for people to practice, free of expectation or judgement. Her approach is to expand people’s awareness of the many yoga traditions, meditation styles, beliefs and ways of being. Andrea's guiding principle is that we’re doing it ‘right’ when we meet ourselves and each other with kindness and curiosity.

A life-long learner, Andrea has also studied an array of modalities from Yin Yoga and Meditation to Yoga Nidra, Reiki, functional movement, Five Element Yoga® and Yoga for Trauma, Emotional Health and Healing and credits her many teachers, including Sagel Urlacher, Josh Summers, Pat Iyer, Denise Cucalon, Johnny Gillespie, Jennifer Reis, and Kate Graham. She is also a Mindful Outdoor Experience Guide with the Kripalu School and is a member of the Yoga Alliance.

It should be noted that, among her many profound and respected guides and mentors, Andrea personally considers her two daughters to stand out as the most remarkable, humbling teachers of all.

In addition to over a decade of experience teaching in a corporate environment (hello, work-life balance!), Andrea is honored to teach and practice regularly at Open Doors Yoga in North Attleboro, the Ashram in Millis, and to be a guest teacher at Moksha Yoga in Rehoboth. Andrea and her family live and play in Franklin, MA.
