This workshop explores newfound connections between the practice of yoga and total health in a safe and supportive setting.
For many of us, our nervous systems are on overdrive, hyper-vigilant against perceived threats from an often unidentifiable source. Consequently, many report feeling depleted, anxious, agitated, isolated. This workshop does not pretend to magic away those experiences and emotions that may not feel pleasant; conversely, we’ll look at yoga through both a scientific lens and a spiritual teaching lens - and examine how the practice might help us access greater emotional agility, mental fitness, and yes, physical health benefits.
You’ll come away with clarity on which elements and sequences of a yoga practice can most benefit you — and importantly why, so that you can apply the principles to your own circumstances now, and as those circumstances change in the future.
This workshop includes movement-based practices, and is designed to be accessible and inclusive. No prior experience with yoga is needed. All are welcomed.
